Timam Ministry

Our Vision Statement

To be a Christ-centered fellowship where single adults experience joy and fulfillment.

Our Mission Statement

To minister holistically through the word of God, to the unique needs of single adults in their everyday walk with God and fellow man. (Luke 2:52.)

The name TIMAM is derived from the Swahili word ‘timamu’ which means complete or whole. At Timam Ministry, we believe that we find our true worth in the Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that on account of Jesus Christ the Son’s finished sacrificial work for us; we are brought into communion with God to live a transformed life that is expressed in the context of community.

The immediate community in this case is composed of Timam members; post-university or post-college young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who are either just entering the workforce or who have been in it for a while. The wider community is the church of God especially at Mamlaka Hill Chapel.

Our purpose is to encourage young adults in their 20’s and 30’s to meet with God through his word in engaging, relevant and stimulating forums that will ultimately see us live out our faith in the world shining as lights (Matthew 5:16) in the workplace, the church and everywhere else the Lord providentially takes us.

This year, our focus is on 4 themes that we are calling Tracks;

  1. Service
  2. Love & Marriage
  3. Money
  4. Career.

We meet twice a month on Sundays.

Please register your name and contacts to timam@mamlakahillchapel.org or call Philip 0724 674041 for more details.

Attendance is open to all single adults and friends of Mamlaka Hill Chapel.

Karibu!

Community Care & Connection

Our Vision: is to provide opportunities for believers to fellowship, disciple, and bond and help one another through the challenges of life in the name of Christ.

Our Mission: is to create a conducive environment that people can practice John 13:34-35.

Our Values: Bottom line we believe People matter to God and we too must demonstrate practically that they matter.

The aims of this ministry is to carry out Acts 2:42 where Christianity is about fellowship between God and Man first and then with fellow Man. It demonstrates that our life in Christ is about fellowship, intimacy with God through the study of His word, obedience and reaching out to a lost world.

Community stands for the fellowship that happens through our small groups known us REAL GROUP. The word real stands for Relationship Empowered for Authentic Life in Christ. Real Groups provide the right environment to live the John 13:34-35. In this verses the Christian is commanded to demonstrate love by loving his fellow believer and then reach out to a others who need to know. On the other hand Care is reminder that we are to care for one another, the sick, the needy, and even those that have been bereaved. Real groups provide the platform to channel this support. In order to manage the growing number of real groups we have divided our real groups into zones. At the moment we have 8 zones covering the wider Nairobi Metropolitan area. Zoning has helped to decentralize the real group ministry from the main church office into the field.

Last but not least Connection. Connection helps new people find a place to belong in the family of the Christ. Many non-Kenyans have testified of how joining real group helped them to be integrated in the country.
